Ergonomic Layout For A Three Wheeler Vehicle

Abstract: The present invention relates to ergonomic layout of a three-wheeler vehicle. The invention comprises a passenger room (010), comprising, a passenger seat having storage space below the seat, a lumber support, a legroom for passengers; and a driver room (011), having an upper layer provided with a top head (005) of the vehicle body; and driver seat, front chasis and a driver leg space. The vehicle layout is also comprising an upper layer provided with a top head (005) of the vehicle body; and a headroom (009) is provided in the vehicle body. The present invention provides an improved ergonomic layout for a three-wheeler vehicle to enhance the performance and increase the comfort and safety of a passenger by increasing the legroom, headroom and shoulder room for all passenger. DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to an ergonomic layout for a three-wheeler vehicle. More particularly, the present invention relates to an ergonomic layout for vehicle seats arrangement and body contours for passenger and driver to offer more comfort to driver and passenger.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] Three-wheeler vehicles are widely used and favored for their fuel efficiency and agility in various developing countries, including India. These vehicles are powered by diverse sources i.e. gasoline, electricity, hydrocarbons or batteries. Further, the three-wheeler vehicles are known for their applicability in cases of confined areas and mostly for the transportation of the passengers as well as any goods. These vehicles often have a driver’s cabin at the front and Passenger seat at the back side of a vehicle.
[003] The vehicle layout of three-wheeler vehicle plays a crucial role in providing comfort to the passengers as well as drivers. However, conventional designs often suffer from limited leg space and poor ergonomics, which negatively impact the experience of the passenger. Also, the poor ergonomics of the conventionally designed three-wheeler vehicles negatively impact the performance of the vehicle. There are many patent documents disclosing the vehicle layout of three-wheeler vehicles. One such US patent document US10583783B2 disclosing a vehicle interior layout, which includes a console having a support structure configured to be mounted on the floor of the vehicle and topped by an upper part, the upper part being rotatable around a substantially vertical pivot axis. However, this document fails to provide vehicle layout with improved ergonomics with more leg-space, head-space, and shoulder space.
[004] Therefore, in order to overcome the disadvantages associated with the conventionally used three-wheeler electric vehicles. There is a need to develop a three-wheeler electric vehicles with better comfort for passengers and drivers, which also increases the overall performance of the electric vehicle.
OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION
[005] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide ergonomic layout for a three-wheeler vehicle.
[006] Another objective of the present invention is to provide more leg space, head space and shoulder space to a passenger.
[007] Another objective of the present invention is to provide comfortable seats to a passengers and a driver.
[008] Another objective of the present invention is to optimize vehicle space usage.
[009] Another objective of the present invention is to enhance visual appearance of three-wheeler electric vehicle.
[010] Yet another objective of the present invention is to strategically position the components on a chassis frame without disrupting the layout arrangement.
[011] Other objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, wherein, by way of illustration and example, the aspects of the present invention are disclosed.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[012] The present invention relates to a layout of three-wheeler electric vehicle with improved leg space and better seat arrangement. The vehicle layout for three-wheeler vehicles having a cabin structural room (008) comprising, a passenger room (010), a driver room (011), an upper layer provided with a top head (005) of the vehicle body; and a headroom (009) is provided in the driver room and the passenger room of the vehicle cabin. The present layout maximizes leg room for passengers as well as provides an aesthetic look to the vehicle. Additionally, the layout incorporates changes to the seat structure and vehicle body contours, resulting in an increased cabin space. The components are meticulously positioned and designed to utilize maximum space available in a vehicle. The storage space is provided below to a passenger seat (002) to clutter and make the cabin more spacious. The body support contours provided for both driver and passengers are specifically designed to ensure optimal comfort and support. The contours are configured to align with the body’s natural curves to provide a snug fit and reduce the strain, allowing the passengers and driver to relax while maintaining proper body posture.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[015] The following description describes various features and functions of the disclosed system with reference to the accompanying figures. In the figures, similar symbols identify similar components, unless context dictates otherwise. The illustrative aspects described herein are not meant to be limiting. It may be readily understood that certain aspects of the disclosed system can be arranged and combined in a wide variety of different configurations, all of which have not been contemplated herein.
[016] Accordingly, those of ordinary skill in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications of the embodiments described herein can be made without departing from the scope of invention. In addition, descriptions of well-known functions and constructions are omitted for clarity and conciseness.
[017] Features that are described and/or illustrated with respect to one embodiment may be used in the same way or in a similar way in one or more other embodiments and/or in combination with or instead of the features of the other embodiments.

Accordingly, it should be apparent to those skilled in the art that the following description of exemplary embodiments of the present invention are provided for illustrative purpose only and not for the purpose of limiting the invention.
[019] It is to be understood that the singular forms “a”, “an” and “the” include plural referents unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.
[020] It should be emphasized that the term “comprises/comprising” when used in this specification is taken to specify the presence of stated features, steps or components but does not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, steps, components or groups thereof.
[021] The present invention relates to ergonomic layout of a three-wheeler electric vehicle for enhancing the comfort of passengers and improving the performance of vehicle. The invention provides ergonomic layout of a three-wheeler vehicle to minimize passenger fatigue and discomfort.
[022] In and embodiment, the ergonomic layout for a three-wheeler vehicle (100) having a cabin structural room (008) comprising, a passenger room (010), a driver room (011), an upper layer provided with a top head (005) of the vehicle body; and a headroom (009) is provided in the driver room and the passenger room of the vehicle cabin.
[023] The passenger room (010) comprising a passenger seat (002), a lumber support (003), and a passenger legroom (004). The passenger seat (002) is having a storage space below the seat to clutter and make the cabin spacious. The lumber support (003) is provided at the back rest of the passenger seat (002) to help the passenger to keep the spine in a natural alignment. The passenger legroom (004) provides space for providing comfort to the passengers.
[024] The driver room (011) comprising: a driver seat (001) connected to a middle support (006) framework to provide the support to the seat, a driver leg space (012) having space to provide comfort to the driver, and a front windshield (007) comprising a front glass in the framework.
[025] In a preferred embodiment, the cabin structural room (008) of a vehicle is designed to be wide and spacious by providing ample legroom, headroom, and shoulder room. This leads to reduce passenger fatigue and discomfort during long journeys.
[026] In another embodiment, the layout of a three-wheeler electric vehicle comprises a lumber support (003), which helps the passenger to keep the spine in a natural alignment and reduce back related issues.
[027] In an exemplary embodiment, the present invention includes a storage space below to a passenger seat (002) to clutter and make the cabin more spacious. As per this embodiment, the storage space behind the passenger seat may be removed to increase the space for the legroom.
[028] In another embodiment, the legroom of an electric vehicle is increased to provide enough space, so that passenger can able to sit comfortably without their knees hitting the dashboard as well as driver’s seat which are located in front of them.
[029] In an exemplary embodiment, the seats of the vehicle are designed at a reclined angle that enhances the supportive strength to provide good lumber support (003) and improve sitting experience to a passenger. The body/ lumber support contours provided for both driver and passengers are specifically designed to ensure optimal comfort and support. The contours are configured to align with the body’s natural curves to provide a snug fit and reduce the strain, allowing the passengers and driver to relax while maintaining proper body posture.
[030] According to the present invention, the layout provides a wide aisles which helps the passenger to move around inside and get in-out of the vehicle easily. This can be especially beneficial for passenger with luggage or mobility impairments.
[031] The layout of a vehicle is designed to minimize discomfort and fatigue of the passenger as well as of driver. Further the seats and other surfaces are designed to be comfortable for extended periods of time.
[032] According to the present invention, the layout of the vehicle comprises to optimize the performance and maximize the utilization of vehicle space to provide comfortable journey to passenger and a driver. Additionally, the said layout of a three-wheeler vehicle is cost efficient as well as light weighted and constructed by using common components and avoiding complex designs.
[033] The three-wheeler vehicle of the present invention can be selected from an electric vehicle, an automobile, a hybrid vehicle, and the like.
[034] The advantages of the present invention are enlisted herein:
• The present invention provides an ergonomic layout for a three-wheeler vehicle to enhance the performance and increase the comfort of the passengers.
• Comfortable cabin: The layout of the vehicle of the present invention is designed to maximize the comfort and safety of a passenger by increasing the legroom, headroom and shoulder room for all passenger.
• Aesthetic appeal: The design of rear split doors can add unique and attractive look to the vehicle, it distinguish the said arrangement from other design.
[035] While this invention has been described in connection with what is presently considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments, but, on the contrary, is intended to cover various modifications and equivalent arrangements included within the scope of the software module ended claims.
,CLAIMS:1. An ergonomic layout for a three-wheeler vehicle (100) having a cabin structural room (008) comprising:
• a passenger room (010) comprising;
o a passenger seat (002) having a back rest and a storage space below the seat to clutter and make the cabin spacious;
o a lumber support (003) at the back rest of the passenger seat (002) to help the passenger to keep the spine in a natural alignment;
o a passenger legroom (004) to having space to provide comfort to the passengers;
• a driver room (011) comprising:
o a driver seat (001) connected to a middle support (006) framework to provide the support to the seat,
o driver leg space (008) having space to provide comfort to the driver;
o front chasis (007) comprising a front glass in the framework;
• an upper layer provided with a top head (005) of the vehicle body; and
• a headroom (009) is provided in the driver room and the passenger room of the vehicle cabin.

2. The ergonomic layout for a three-wheeler vehicle (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the seats of the vehicle are designed at a reclined angle that enhances the supportive strength to provide good lumber support (003).

3. The ergonomic layout for a three-wheeler vehicle (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the lumber support contours provided to the lumber support (003) to ensure optimal comfort and support of the passenger and the driver.

4. The ergonomic layout for a three-wheeler vehicle (100) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the contours are configured to align with the body’s natural curves to provide a snug fit and reduce the strain, allowing the passengers and driver to relax while maintaining proper body posture.

5. The ergonomic layout for a three-wheeler vehicle (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the three-wheeler vehicle is electric vehicle, automobile, hybrid vehicle, etc.
