Abstract: The present invention relates to a modular chassis arrangement for a three-wheeler electric vehicle. The chassis frame comprises of a shocker bracket that enhances the suspension of a three wheeler vehicle; and a support tube to provide a backing to a three-wheeler electric vehicle. The modular chassis arrangement provides shape and stability to the three-wheeler electric vehicle, provides large scale for accommodation of all the major components of the three-wheeler electric vehicle in an efficient manner, increases performance, safety, and provides enhanced aerodynamic structure to three-wheeler electric vehicle, resulting in high strength as well as sophisticated structure to the three-wheeler electric vehicle. DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to a modular chassis arrangement for a three-wheeler electric vehicle. Particularly, the present invention provides a modular chassis arrangement that provides shape and stability to the three-wheeler electric vehicle, provides large scale for accommodation of all the major components of the three-wheeler electric vehicle in an efficient manner, increases performance, safety, and provides enhanced aerodynamic structure to three-wheeler electric vehicle, resulting in high strength as well as sophisticated structure to the three-wheeler electric vehicle.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[002] Chassis refers to a load-bearing part of a vehicle frame. Generally, the chassis is the horizontal section of the vehicle that connects various components of the structure together. The chassis serves as structural foundation of any vehicle that provides mounting support for various components such as motor, battery, controller, etc. The chassis plays a crucial role in ensuring stability, handling of the vehicle, and overall safety of the vehicle while driving.

[003] There is a need for development of a module chassis in electric vehicles ensuring accommodation of the components of the electric vehicle and increased performance and safety of the three-wheeler electric vehicles.

OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION

[004] The primarily objective of the present embodiment is to provide a modular chassis arrangement for a three-wheeler electric vehicle.

[005] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a modular chassis arrangement that provides shape and stability to the three-wheeler electric vehicle.

[006] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a modular chassis arrangement that provides large space for accommodation of all major components of the three-wheeler electric vehicle in an efficient manner, increases performance, safety, and provides enhanced aerodynamic structure to three-wheeler electric vehicle, resulting in high strength as well as sophisticated structure to the three-wheeler electric vehicle.

[007] Another objective of the present invention is to provide modular chassis arrangement that may be integrated in different vehicle types.

[008] Another objective of the present invention is to provide enhanced suspension in three-wheeler electric vehicle and reduction in shocks while transportation.

[009] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a modular chassis arrangement engineered to balance weight, increase strength and safety of the three-wheeler electric vehicle.

[010] Another objective of the present invention is to provide enhanced leg space for passengers, thereby ensuring comfortable seating.

[011] Another objective of the present embodiment is to reduce electrical and mechanical losses by placing components of the three-wheeler electric vehicle closest to each other.

[012] Another objective of the present invention is to ensure enhanced compatibility and increase in durability of the three-wheeler electric vehicle with the inbuilt modular chassis.

[013] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a long wheel base chassis.

[014] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a modular chassis arrangement, which is cost effective and reduces the vehicle development time.

[015] Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, wherein, by way of illustration and example, the aspects of the present invention are disclosed.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[016] The present invention relates to a modular chassis arrangement for a three-wheeler electric vehicle. The chassis frame comprises of a shocker bracket that enhances the suspension of a three wheeler vehicle; and a support tube to provide a backing to a three-wheeler electric vehicle. The modular chassis arrangement provides shape and stability to the three-wheeler electric vehicle, provides large scale for accommodation of all the major components of the three-wheeler electric vehicle in an efficient manner, increases performance, safety, and provides enhanced aerodynamic structure to three-wheeler electric vehicle, resulting in high strength as well as sophisticated structure to the three-wheeler electric vehicle.

[018] Figure 1 illustrates an isometric view of module chassis arrangement for a three-wheeler electric vehicle; and

[019] Figure 2(b) and Figure 2(a) illustrates overview of three-wheeler electric vehicle with longer wheel base chassis over the conventionally used smaller wheel base chassis, respectively.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[020] The following description describes various features and functions of the disclosed system with reference to the accompanying figures. In the figures, similar symbols identify similar components, unless context dictates otherwise. The illustrative aspects described herein are not meant to be limiting. It may be readily understood that certain aspects of the disclosed system can be arranged and combined in a wide variety of different configurations, all of which have not been contemplated herein.

[021] Accordingly, those of ordinary skill in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications of the embodiments described herein can be made without departing from the scope of invention. In addition, descriptions of well-known functions and constructions are omitted for clarity and conciseness.

[022] Features that are described and/or illustrated with respect to one embodiment may be used in the same way or in a similar way in one or more other embodiments and/or in combination with or instead of the features of the other embodiments.

[023] The terms and words used in the following description are not limited to the bibliographical meanings, but, are merely used to enable a clear and consistent understanding of the invention. Accordingly, it should be apparent to those skilled in the art that the following description of exemplary embodiments of the present invention are provided for illustrative purpose only and not for the purpose of limiting the invention.

[024] It is to be understood that the singular forms “a”, “an” and “the” include plural referents unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.

[025] It should be emphasized that the term “comprises/comprising” when used in this specification is taken to specify the presence of stated features, steps or components but does not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, steps, components or groups thereof.

[026] Accordingly, the present invention relates to a modular chassis arrangement for three wheeler electric vehicle. Particularly, the present invention relates to modular chassis composed of a rear middle structure (01), canopy and structure (02), passenger door (03), passenger rear seat box sheet metal (04), rear mudguard (05), chassis (06) and a driver seat and cover plastic (07). This allows use the same components and build multiple vehicle on common platform.

[027] In an embodiment, a rider cabin and a passenger cabin is divided by the rear middle structure and a passenger door hinged on this middle structure. This door provides an attractive look to the vehicle.

[028] In another embodiment of the three wheeler vehicle, a canopy structure is introduced to safeguard the passenger from external weather, along with that it can be utilize as a portable roof of the vehicle.

[029] The present invention also consist a mudguard sheet, which is located at the rear part of vehicle and above to the rear wheels. The said mudguard sheet can be made up of metal or plastic.

[030] According to the present invention, the driver seat is installed on driver’s cabin and its rear part is mounted on a new rear middle structure, which provides stability and strength to the driver’s seat.

[031] The present invention provides a modular chassis arrangement that provides shape and stability to the three-wheeler electric vehicle, provides large scale for accommodation of all the major components of the three-wheeler electric vehicle in an efficient manner, increases performance, safety, and provides enhanced aerodynamic structure to three-wheeler electric vehicle, resulting in high strength as well as sophisticated structure to the three-wheeler electric vehicle.

[032] In an embodiment, the present invention provides a modular chassis arrangement for a three-wheeler electric vehicle that involves modifying a jumbo ranger chassis by adding and/or removing some minor/major parts in the jumbo ranger chassis. The functional components may be standardized such that three-wheeler electric vehicle chassis may be interconnected with various three-wheeler electric vehicle designs with some minor modification. In an embodiment, a long member may be provided in a chassis frame as shown in figure 2(b) to increase length of a three-wheeler electric vehicle as well as supports in extending the chassis frame upward, thereby increasing operational space of the three-wheeler electric vehicle. This outside city vehicle is bigger in size, and facilitates sharing running over the conventionally used smaller wheel base vehicle which is compact in design, facilitates point to point running, and has agility to run in smaller road. In an embodiment, the present invention also comprises of a plurality of cross members, so as to improve structural integrity.

[033] In an embodiment, the modular chassis arrangement comprises of chassis frame. The chassis frame comprises of a shocker bracket that enhances the suspension of a three wheeler vehicle; and a support tube to provide a backing to a three-wheeler electric vehicle.

[034] The modular chassis arrangement for a three-wheeler electric vehicle in the present invention incorporates substantially most of the functional system and components e.g. mechanical, electrical, structural, etc. The modular chassis arrangement for a three-wheeler electric vehicle in the present invention may improve assembly, servicing, and repairing of battery, motor and controllers.

[035] In another embodiment, the chassis of the three-wheeler electric vehicle is designed in a manner so that it provides support and stability to a three-wheeler electric vehicle. The development time of chassis arrangement is less and it is cost effective.

[036] In another embodiment of the present invention, the chassis is designed to utilize minimum space so as to provide maximum output. This arrangement helps to protect components from external hazards and reduces the risk of damages caused by road accidents.

[037] In yet another embodiment, the components of the three-wheeler electric vehicle are strategically placed, so as to provide enhanced weight distribution within chassis, which in turn enhances the vehicle stability.

[038] In yet another embodiment, the chassis is designed by considering placement of the components so as to optimize space of the three-wheeler electric vehicle and center of gravity of three-wheeler electric vehicle.

[039] In another embodiment, the modular structure of the chassis may be used to provide three different chassis frame from jumbo ranger chassis. The area such as, but not limited to, front facia, mudguard, suspension, handlebar, head lamp indicator, leg guard and dashboard remains same for jumbo ranger vehicle.

[040] While this invention has been described in connection with what is presently considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments but, on the contrary, is intended to cover various modifications and equivalent arrangements included within the scope of the appended claims. ,CLAIMS:1. A modular chassis arrangement for a three-wheeler vehicle comprising
• a chassis frame comprises of
o a shocker bracket, enhances the suspension of the three-wheeler vehicle; and
o a support tube, provides a backing to the three-wheeler vehicle;
• a chassis (06) comprises of
o a rider cabin;
o a passenger cabin;
o a rear middle structure (01) separating the rider and passenger cabin;
o a canopy structure (02) located at the top of vehicle, utilizing as a portable roof which safeguards passengers from external weather;
o a passenger door (03) hinged on the rear middle structure (01);
o a passenger rear seat box sheet metal (04);
o a rear mudguard (05) located above the rare wheel of the vehicle; and
o a driver seat and cover plastic (07) located in driver’s cabin mounted on the rear middle structure, provides stability and strength to driver’s seat.

2. The modular chassis arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the chassis arrangement provides shape and stability to the three-wheeler vehicle.

3. The modular chassis arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the chassis arrangement provides larger space for accommodation of major components efficiently, provides increased performance, high strength, safety, and enhanced aerodynamic structure to the vehicle.

4. The modular chassis arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the chassis arrangement is capable of integrating in different types of vehicle.

5. The modular chassis arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the chassis arrangement provides enhanced suspension and reduction in shocks during the operation of three-wheeler vehicle.

6. The modular chassis arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the chassis arrangement for three-wheeler vehicle provides comfortable seating of passengers.

7. The modular chassis arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the chassis arrangement of three-wheeler reduces the electrical and mechanical losses by placing the components closer.

8. The modular chassis arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the chassis arrangement provides longer wheel base chassis (2b).

9. The modular chassis arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the chassis is designed to utilize minimum space, providing maximum output.

10. The modular chassis arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the three-wheeler vehicle is an electric vehicle.
