Abstract: The present invention relates to a spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) for a three wheeler vehicle. The present invention provides an arrangement for positioning the spare wheel (009) and ensuring safety thereof, thereby preventing theft of the spare wheel (009) as well as ensuring changing of the tires. This arrangement is configured to accommodate the spare wheel (009) with safety and security and prevents its unwanted access/theft by providing door lock mechanism with rear door (003). Figure 1
DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to a spare wheel mounting arrangement for a three wheeler vehicle. More particularly, the present invention relates to an arrangement for positioning the spare wheel and ensuring safety thereof, thereby preventing theft of the spare wheel as well as ensuring changing of the tires.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] Three-wheeler vehicles are considered to be one of the widely used modes of transport for enhanced fuel efficiency and agility. The three-wheeler electric vehicles are known for their applicability in cases of confined areas. In order to avoid any kind of delay in a case of flat tire, extra spare wheel is an essential accessory for any kind of vehicle.
[003] The provision of spare wheel is available since the introduction of automobiles. In early days, the spare wheels were often mounted on outside of the car, either on the back or on the bottom side of the vehicle, enabling the drivers to access the spare wheel easily. However, such conventional location of the spare wheels increase the risk of theft and external damages of the spare wheel. Further, the drivers may face complexity in changing the tire even when the spare wheels are located inside the vehicle.
[004] In view of the challenges associated with the state of art, there is a need to develop a spare wheel mounting arrangement for three-wheeler electric vehicle preventing theft of the spare wheels and ensuring easy changing of the tires.
OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION
[005] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a spare wheel mounting arrangement of the three-wheeler electric vehicle.
[006] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a spare wheel mounting arrangement for three-wheeler electric vehicle ensuring safety thereof, thereby preventing theft of the spare wheel as well as ensuring changing of the tires.
[007] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a holding unit installed inside the three-wheeler electric vehicle to mount the spare wheel inside the vehicle and prevent it from moving around during transportation.
[008] Another objective of the present invention is to ensure optimization of the luggage space in three-wheeler electric vehicle.
[009] Another objective of the present invention is to provide safe and secure compartment to a position spare wheel.
[010] Another objective of the present invention is to provide easy access to the drivers to the spare wheel when required.
[011] Another objective of the present invention is to protect the spare wheel from external damages i.e. weather, roads debris and theft.
[012] Another objective of the present invention is improve visual appearance of three wheeler electric vehicle.
[013] Other objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, wherein, by way of illustration and example, the aspects of the present invention are disclosed.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[014] The present invention relates to a spare wheel mounting arrangement for a three wheeler vehicle. The present invention provides an arrangement for positioning the spare wheel and ensuring safety thereof, thereby preventing theft of the spare wheel as well as ensuring changing of the tires. The spare wheel mounting arrangement is installed on the rear compartment of the three-wheeler electric vehicle. The spare wheel packaging is done below the passenger arrangement. A locking arrangement is provided inside the three-wheeler electric vehicle to secure the spare wheel inside the rear compartment. The locking arrangement comprises of a locking plate and fastening bolt that provides strength to the locking arrangement. In an exemplary embodiment, the fastening bolt includes such as, but not limited to, bush and bolt arrangement. In an embodiment, a rear door is provided, wherein the rear door is pivoted vertically to the rear compartment on the three-wheeler electric vehicle to secure the spare wheel with the help of the bearings to provide rotational motion including such as, but not limited to, hinges. The rear door provides security to the entire arrangement of the present invention.

[027] Accordingly, the present invention relates to a spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) for a three wheeler vehicle. More particularly, the present invention relates to an arrangement for positioning the spare wheel (009) and ensuring safety thereof, thereby preventing theft of the spare wheel (009) as well as ensuring changing of the tires.
[028] In an embodiment, the present invention relates to the spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) inside a three-wheeler vehicle, secures the spare wheel (009) in place without affecting vehicle appearance; and ensures the safety and easy access thereof in case of flat tire.
[029] Locking mechanism is performed by placing spare wheel on a mounting platform and attached to it with the help of bush- bolt (004) and locking plate (002). In an embodiment, as shown in figure 1, the spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) is installed on the rear compartment (001) of the three-wheeler electric vehicle. The spare wheel (009) packaging is done below the passenger arrangement (007). As shown in figure 3 and figure 5, a locking arrangement is provided inside the three-wheeler electric vehicle. The locking arrangement comprises of a locking plate (002) and fastening bolt (004) that provides strength to the locking arrangement. In an exemplary embodiment, the fastening bolt (004) includes such as, but not limited to bush and bolt (004) arrangement. In an embodiment, a rear door (003) is provided, wherein the rear door (003) is pivoted vertically to the rear compartment on the three-wheeler electric vehicle to secure the spare wheel (009) with the help of the bearings to provide rotational motion including such as, but not limited to, hinges (008). The rear door (003) provides security to the entire arrangement of the present invention.
[030] Advantages of the present invention:
1. The three-wheeler electric vehicle spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) ensures enhanced safety and allows the driver to access the wheel easily. The driver can access the spare wheel (009) more conveniently and small area is required for this arrangement without affecting the luggage area.
2. The arrangement enhances the overall look and aesthetic appeal of the three wheeler electric vehicle.
3. The spare wheel (009) compartment ensures the safety of spare wheel (009) and it is designed to provide secure mounting and prevent a spare wheel (009) from shifting or rolling around during vehicle movement, ensuring that the spare wheel (009) remains in its desired position.
4. The spare wheel compartment is designed to shield the spare wheel (009) from external element such as rain, dust, snow.
5. Placing the spare wheel (009) into a spare wheel compartment makes it less accessible for a thieves and ensures the safety of spare wheel (009).
[031] While this invention has been described in connection with what is presently considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments but, on the contrary, is intended to cover various modifications and equivalent arrangements included within the scope of the appended claims.
,CLAIMS:1. A spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) for three-wheeler vehicles comprising:
• a rear compartment (001), having a mounting platform, configured to accommodate a spare wheel (009);
• a locking arrangement mounted on the spare wheel (009) to adhere the spare wheel (009) to the mounting platform, comprises of
o a locking plate (002) placed at the center of the spare wheel to fix the wheel at the mounting platform; and
o a fastening bolt configured to fastened the spare wheel (004) at the mounting platform; and
• a rear door (003) pivoted to the rear compartment using bearings.
2. The spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the spare wheel mounting arrangement is installed on the rare compartment of three-wheeler vehicle.
3. The spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the spare wheel mounting arrangement is installed beneath the passenger seat.
4. The spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fastening bolt is bush and bolt arrangement.
5. The spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the locking plate along with the bush and bolt arrangement, designed to prevent shifting and rolling of the spare wheel during vehicle operation.
6. The spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the bearings including hinges, facilitates rotational movement of rear door.
7. The spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the rear door is designed to secure the spare wheel (009) from theft and other external conditions.
8. The spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mounting arrangement requires smaller area and easily accessible by the drivers.
9. The spare wheel mounting arrangement (005) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the three-wheeler vehicle is an electric vehicle.
