Abstract: METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING OVERSIZE BOULDERS IN A SCOOP IN REAL-TIME ABSTRACT 5 The present disclosure relates to field of image processing that discloses method and system for detecting oversize boulders in scoop in real-time. An oversize boulder detection system receives unload signal from excavator indicating unloading of scoop. Further, images of unloaded scoop are captured, in response to unload signal. Thereafter presence of at least one oversize boulder of size greater than predefined size in images is determined, using trained 10 Artificial Intelligence (AI) model. Finally, oversize boulder detection system performs one of (1) generating alert signal to perform one or more operations on unloaded scoop, if presence of oversize boulder is detected, or (2) generating success signal to proceed with subsequent scooping, if presence of at least one oversize boulder is not detected. The present disclosure helps in accurately determining oversize boulder in load in real-time, which in turn may avoid 15 catastrophic failure of crusher machinery in subsequent crushing process.
