Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to a saddle-type vehicle. More particularly, the present invention relates to a saddle-type vehicle having a mounting bracket for attaching multiple parts of the vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] In conventional saddle-type vehicles, various parts viz. headlamp, turn lamps, fairing members, fuel tank cover etc., are mounted on frame members of the vehicle. In existing design configuration of the saddle-type vehicles, a lot of additional parts including aesthetic parts are mounted on the vehicle which essentially require a separate mounting arrangement for each part. It has been observed that such mounting arrangement unnecessarily complicates the assembly sequence of vehicles and also renders the fit and finish of the vehicle to be unpleasant. It has also been observed that such mounting arrangement tends to increase the assembly time.
[003] In existing vehicles, various parts are collectively mounted on the frame members of the vehicle. Such mounting arrangement causes vibrations in the running condition of the vehicle and also makes the structure weak. When such multiple parts are mounted on the vehicle between each other, the finishing of the vehicle appears to be non-uniform and untidy.
[004] In view of the foregoing, there is a need to provide a saddle-type vehicle having a structure for mounting various parts and overcome at least the above-mentioned disadvantages.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[013] The present invention relates to a saddle-type vehicle having a structure for mounting multiple parts of the vehicle.
[014] Figure 1 illustrates a schematic view of a front portion of a saddle-type vehicle 100, in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. The saddle-type vehicle 100 includes a frame structure 110. The frame structure 110 includes a head tube 112, a pair of main tubes 114, a pair of down tubes 113, and a pair of seat rails 116. The pair of main tubes 114 is extending rearwardly and downwardly from the head tube 112 in a front-rear direction of the vehicle 100. In similar way, the pair of down tubes 113 is extending rearwardly and downwardly from the head tube 112 in the front-rear direction of the vehicle 100. The pair of main tubes 114 is connected with the pair of the down tubes 113 via a plurality of reinforcement members (X). The vehicle 100 includes a pair of seat rails 116 extending rearwardly and upwardly from the pair of main tubes 114 in the front-rear direction of the vehicle 100. Each of the pair of seat rails 116 is attached to one of the pair of the main tubes 114. The vehicle 100 includes a tubular bridge 115 attached to the pair of the main tubes 114. The tubular bridge 115 is extending in a vehicle width direction. The vehicle 100 includes a pair of down seat tube members 118 extending rearwardly and upwardly from the main tube 114 in the front-rear direction of the vehicle 100. A plurality of reinforcement members (Y) is disposed between the pair of down seat tube members 118 and the pair of seat rails 116.
[015] The vehicle 100 includes a head lamp (not shown) disposed in front of the head tube 112 and a housing 120 adapted to support a rear portion of the head lamp. A fuel tank (not shown) is disposed behind the head tube 112 in the front-rear direction of the vehicle 100. The fuel tank is covered by a fuel tank cover 130. The vehicle 100 includes a pair of side fairing members 140 (only one side fairing member is shown) disposed below the fuel tank cover 130 on each side of the vehicle 100. The pair of side fairing members 140 is extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle 100. The pair of side fairing members 140 is adapted to cover the pair of down tubes 113 of the frame structure 110 when viewed from sides of the vehicle 100.
[016] The vehicle 100 includes a pair of bracket members 200 (only one side bracket member is shown) mounted on a front portion of the frame structure 110. The pair of bracket members 200 is configured to supportably mount multiple parts i.e., the housing 120, the fuel tank cover 130, and the pair of side fairing members 140. The pair of bracket members 200 is made of metal.
[017] As shown, each of the pair of bracket members 200 includes a front portion 200F and a rear portion 200R. The bracket members 200 include an attachment portion 202 formed between the front portion 200F and the rear portion 200R. The pair of bracket members 200 is of substantially streamlined shaped body. The attachment portion 202 is adapted to receive a turn signal lamp 150. Each of the pair of bracket members 200 includes a plurality of attachment portions 210, 220. The attachment portions 210, 220 are configured to mount the housing 120, the fuel tank cover 130, and the pair of side fairing members 140. The mounting portion 210 is configured to mount each of the side fairing members 140 on each of pair of the bracket members 200. The mounting portion 220 is configured to mount the housing 120 and the fuel tank cover 130 on each of the pair of the bracket members 200. The fuel tank cover 130 includes a pair of front portions 130F and a rear portion 130R. In an embodiment, each of the pair of front portions 130F of the fuel tank cover 130 is mounted on the rear portion 200R of one of the pair of bracket members 200.
[018] In an embodiment, each of the pair of side fairing members 140 includes a front portion 140F and a rear portion 140R. An air deflector 144 is formed between the front portion 140F and the rear portion 140R of the side fairing members 140. Each of the pair of side fairing members 140 includes upper attachment portions 145 and lower attachment portions 146.
[019] Figure 2 is an exploded view of multiple parts in a dismantled state as shown in Figure 1, in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. The frame structure 110 includes a curved frame member 111. The curved frame member 111 is attached to the pair of main tubes 114. The curved frame member 111 is configured to receive each of the pair of bracket members 200 on both sides of the vehicle 100. The housing 120 includes a front wall portion 122, a rear wall portion 124, a pair of side wall portions 126 and a hollow portion. The hollow portion is configured to surround an upper portion of the head tube 112.The pair of side wall portions 126 extends between the front wall portion 122 and the rear wall portion 124. The front wall portion 122 is configured to support the rear portion of the head lamp. The rear wall portion 124 is having a shape profile configured to adaptably receive a central front portion 130M of the fuel tank cover 130. The rear wall portion 124 and the side wall portions 126 of the housing 120 are configured to secure fastening of the pair of front portions of the fuel tank cover 130 on the pair of bracket members 200.
[020] As shown, the vehicle 100 includes the bracket member 200 having an attachment portion 202. The attachment portion 202 is a mounting hole configured to receive the turn signal lamp 150.
[021] The frame structure 110 includes a flanged bracket 115a attached to the tubular bridge 115. The flanged bracket 115a is adapted to mount a rear cushion unit (not shown) of the vehicle 100.
[022] Advantageously, the present invention provides a saddle type vehicle having a pair of bracket members mounted on a frame structure of vehicle. The pair of bracket members being configured to supportably mount multiple parts or parts of the vehicle viz. head lamp housing, fuel tank cover, side fairing members, and a turn signal lamp. The pair of bracket members eliminates the need of separate mounting of each of the parts being mounted on the bracket members. The multiple mounting configuration of the bracket members reduces manufacturing complexities, assembly time and costs. Further, the multiple mounting configurations of the bracket members increase fit and finish of the vehicle. Since the bracket members are made of metal and multiple parts are mounted on the pair of bracket members rather than the frame structure, the vibrations are reduced thereof. This multiple mounting configuration of the pair of bracket members also makes the structure durable.
[023] While the present invention has been described with respect to certain embodiments, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modification may be made without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the following claims.
