An Electrolyte For Lithium Ion Battery

Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ELECTROLYTE FOR LITHIUM-ION BATTERY The present disclosure provides an electrolyte for lithium-ion battery having polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in an electrode, the electrolyte comprising: a. a lithium salt; b. a non-aqueous solvent; and c. 0.25 to 1.50% by weight of a silicon 5 additive selected from tetraethylorthosilicate, tris(trimethylsilyl) phosphite, or combinations thereof, wherein the silicon additive is a fluoride ion masking agent. The present disclosure further provides a lithium-ion battery comprising the electrolyte as disclosed herein.
