COMPLETE SPECIFICATION

The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.

FIELD OF INVENTION:
[001] The present invention relates to the field of development of special dull finish obtained through rolling route on stainless steels sheets & coils. The present invention in particular relates to a dull finish with dead light temper (DLT) on the exteriors/ side wall of the coaches and its method of production by rolling route.
DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART:
[002] Cities play a vital role in promoting economic growth and prosperity of the Nation. The development of the cities largely depends upon their physical, social and institutional infrastructure. The intra-urban transportation acts as a catalyst in the cities’ development.
[003] The urban transport situation in most of the cities in India is deteriorating. The deterioration is more prevalent in Metropolitan cities where there is an excessive concentration of road transportation vehicles which is leading to acute road congestion, rising air pollution and a high level of accident risk. There is a growing realization that rail based urban transport can play a major role in alleviating these ills to a large extent. The rail based transport services are available only in a few mega cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. Most of these cities use wide body Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) for their urban transport. Even these EMUs are of old design and the car bodies are made up of carbon steel. As most of these cities are situated in coastal regions, the life of these EMUs are short as the carbon steel bodies are prone to corrosion.
[004] Reference may be made to the following:
[005] IN Publication No. 699/CHE/2009 relates to design of complete carbody of the EMU comprising modules except the body bolster with austenitic stainless steel sheets to grade SUS 301L in different cold rolled tempers and ferritic stainless steel to grade AlSl 409M. The body bolster is made of low alloy high tensile (LAHT) structural steel. The width of the carbody is designed to be extrawide and is 3660 mm. The structural design of the carbody is based on the specified super dense crush load (SDCL) of 16 persons per square meter and the mechanical strength of the car body structural design complies with the requirements of UIC 566. This is for car body design using different grades OI stainless steels. No specific surface finish is mentioned.

Solution: Pickling treatment after dull-finish rolling for a stainless steel sheet or at least one pickling treatment in annealing-pickling stages executed before and after the above is executed as the following manner. Electrolytic treatment is executed at 100 to 300mA/cm<2> electrolytic current density in an aq. soln. of sulfuric acid with 50 to 250g/L sulfuric acid concn. heated at 50 to 80'C. After that, electrolytic treatment is executed at 50 to 300mA/cm<2> electrolytic current density in an aq. soln. of nitric acid with 70 to 150g/L nitric acid concentration. heated at 50 to 80 deg.C. Since pickling is executed intensively compared to the conventional light pickling, the dispersion of micro surface ruggedness is reduced, and the color tones thereof are stabilized.

The plane plate 1 and the wave plate 2 are reciprocally connected to each other with brazing, and a metallic foil made of heat resisting stainless steel having a honeycomb shape is formed. In the above constitution, the surface roughness of the metallic foil is set as 0.7 - 2.0mum. At the time of manufacture, a dull finish roll is used and cold rolling is carried out to obtain the dull finish metallic foil.

And back paint is arranged on the lower surface of the second chemical treatment layer. By the adoption of the technical scheme, the 430 stainless steel plate with the antirust function is adopted as the base plate body, patterns are manufactured on the upper surface of the base plate body through dull polish with diversified textures, the upper surface of the first chemical treatment layer is coated with the finishing coat through coating treatment of the first chemical treatment layer, the color effect can be effectively improved, and the service life of the base plate is prolonged.
