The left sleeve member 126a comprises a left slit 128a, while the right sleeve member 126b comprises a right slit 128b. The left slit 128a and the right slit 128b are adapted to allow air flow from rear side of the side cover assembly 100, thereby cooling the prime mover 136.
[042] The claimed invention as disclosed above is not routine, conventional or well understood in the art, as the claimed aspects enable the following solutions to the existing problems in conventional technologies. Specifically, the claimed aspect of one or more support members between the one or more inner cover members and the one or more outer cover members enhance structural rigidity of the side cover assembly, while also providing a utility space for storing utility items such as a water bottle. The one or more support members also act as a footrest or a child footrest in the vehicle. Additionally, the side cover member is provided with at least one deflector member which is integrated with the one or more inner cover members for deflecting air towards the prime mover for cooling. Moreover, the side cover assembly is provided with one or more cutouts on the inner surface of the one or more inner cover members. The one or more cutouts facilitate inspection of the prime mover without the need for dismantling the side cover assembly. Additionally, the side cover assembly reduces part count in the vehicle, while also ensuring ease of assembly.
[043] While the present invention has been described with respect to certain embodiments, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modification may be made without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the following claims.
