Description:A MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR A VEHICLE
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present subject matter generally relates to a vehicle, and more particularly, relates to a mounting structure for a vehicle.
BACKGROUND 5
[0002] In conventional vehicles, multiple electrical and electronic components are utilized to control functions of the vehicle. These pluralities of electrical parts are accommodated in a vehicle at various different locations which can cause several problems. The major problem of having one or more electrical parts at different locations is the length of the wiring. If the electrical 10 parts are located distantly, more wiring length is required which can cause more electrical losses and voltage drop. Multiple electrical parts will have more wired networks which will complicate the overall system. It also leads to complexity of design, usage of higher quantities of wiring harness and lack of usable space in the vehicle. 15
Another problem can be difficulty is assembly and serviceability of the electrical parts. For instance, if the electrical parts such as regulator unit is placed at such intricate location where it is difficult to assemble or service it, it proves to be disadvantageous to customer as well as organisation.
[0003] Additionally, these electrical parts have to be mounted by using 20 mounting brackets which has a particular shape and structure to serve a particular function. Thus, more electrical parts at different locations need more mounting brackets to mount those electrical parts which further increases manufacturing time, part time, overall weight and cost of the vehicle.
[0004] Additionally, assembly of multiple electrical parts at different 25 locations would not only increase the overall assembly time of the vehicle but also will increase the servicing time and overall overhauling time.
[0005] Thus, existing vehicle where one or more electrical parts are located at different locations using separate mounting brackets offers several drawbacks such as more complexity of design, usage of higher quantities of wiring harness 30
3
and lack of usable space in the vehicle, difficulty in assembly and serviceability, increased part number leads to high cost, increase overall assembly time, servicing time, overall overhauling time. [0006] Thus, there arises a need for a mounting structure which is capable to hold one or more electrical parts together in a vehicle and overcomes the
5 other disadvantages as mentioned previously.
