Abstract: AN AUTOMATIC SYSTEM TO DUMP THIRD PUMP FLOW TO TANK IN A 4-GEAR PUMP SYSTEM An automatic system (100) is designed for managing the flow of a four-gear pump system, particularly focusing on the third pump (101c). The automatic system (100) comprises four pumps connected in tandem: the first (101a), second (101b), third (101c), and fourth pump (101d). The first three pumps (101a-c) are designated for implements, while the fourth pump (101d) is for a pilot line. Flow from the third pump (101c) is directed to the tank (102) when the signal pressure from either the first (101a) or the second pump (101b) reaches a predetermined cracking pressure of a second DC Valve (103b). This dumping of flow from the third pump (101c) to the tank (102) occurs automatically when there's a requirement to work at higher pressure with lesser flow, thus reducing power consumption of the pumps (101a-101d) when the set relief pressure of the first (101a) and second pump (101b) is reached.
