DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[009] In conventional vehicles, one or more vehicle components are mounted in 30 a mounting structure. The mounting structure is fixedly mounted on the vehicle
3
through one or more fasteners. However, manufacturing of such a mounting structure is a cost intensive and laborious process.
[010] The mounting structure is manufactured conventionally through a casting and die process. The mounting structure is also configured to be a heavy part because it accommodates a plurality of vehicle components. In order to manufacture such a 5 heavy part, higher quantity of material such as metal or plastic is used which inadvertently increases the cost of the mounting structure.
[011] In known arts, the mounting structure is conventionally manufactured through the casting process, however a separate part for mounting a plurality of signal lamps is required. This additional part requires extra material to be 10 manufactured and also requires additional design changes for retrofitting the additional part in the mounting structure.
[012] Furthermore, such an additional part also increases the overall weight of the mounting structure due to usage of additional material. Additionally, the additional part also lacks similar configurations and dimensions with respect to the 15 mounting structure which in turn disturbs the overall vehicle dynamics.
[013] Moreover, in known arts, an exchange in mounting of right side turn signal lamp on a left side additional part and vice versa may occur. This faulty assembly can lead to inadequate indication to the user and also to incoming passengers and thereby threaten the safety of the user. 20
[014] In known arts, one or more brackets and electrical connections are configured specifically for mounting the signal lamps properly on both left and right side. However, these arrangements are either intrinsic to the vehicle or requires additional tools to properly mount the signal lamps on both left and right side. Hence, an improved configuration to mount the signal lamps on the mounting structure is 25 required.
[015] Hence, it is an object of the present invention to overcome all the above stated and other related problems existing in the known arts, with respect to a mounting structure for mounting one or more signal lamps as well as other problems of known art. 30
4
[016] It is further an object of the present invention to reduce the part count of mounting structures of one or more signal lamps.
