Abstract: TITLE: “A MECHANISM FOR ADJUSTING POSITION OF HANDS IN A TIMEPIECE HAVING A PLURALITY OF SET OF HANDS” ABSTRACT A mechanism (100) for adjusting position of hands in a timepiece (101). The mechanism (100) includes a first gear (1) connected to a crown (7). A pawl (3) is fixedly connected to the first gear (1) and rotates in the same direction as the first gear (1). Further, a ratchet (4) with plurality of teeth is mounted on the first gear (1), and the pawl (3) meshes with the teeth of the ratchet (4). A second gear (2) is fixedly mounted on the ratchet (4) to accommodate a second set of hands (6). The mechanism (100) allows for the position of the plurality of set of hands to be adjusted with the single crown (7). Operating the crown (7) in one direction allows both the set of hands to be rotated and operating the crown (7) in another direction causes only one of the set of hands to rotate.
