Abhayapradha A Cloud Based Women Safety System

Abstract: Women's security is a major concern, and it has been the most prominent issue to date. Outside of the home or office, women's safety is crucial. In certain circumstances, women are required to travel late at night, and it is essential that they stay alert and safe, and to have at least one of the personal safety apps installed. Existing applications or system prototypes are primarily operated manually, including an SOS button to communicate location with emergency contacts. There is no application that provides both automatic location sharing and dangerous location alerts. This is a user-friendly application that anyone with basic technical knowledge can use. In this paper, we aim to provide the most convenient and fastest way to contact nearby assistance. Users can download the app on their phones and register an account with their email or phone number. After successfully registering, the user is asked to provide 3-5 emergency or favorite contact details. As SQLite is used to store the data, the data in the application is safe and secure and it will operate normally in low internet conditions without malfunctioning. When the user believes she is in danger, she can activate this app using hand gestures and a voice assistant. Our approach is sending the user's location in the form URL message to her emergency contacts for every few seconds. When there is no mobile network, it sends the user's latitude and longitudes to her emergency contacts through SMS. To help the new user travel securely in new locations, we will alert her when she is traveling through an unsafe and dangerous area. Moreover, based on the user's access permissions to the application, once the application is activated, it starts recording voice and live video in the background. As a result, this can be considered as evidence. 5 Claims & 1 Figure

Detailed Description of the Invention
This project aims to create an android app called 'AbhayaPradha' for women's safety. The application requires an initial registration with a login id and password, and the user is prompted to update the emergency contacts and her home/safe location on a regular basis in app to operate effectively. Users' registered data is stored in their mobile with the SQLite Database, and those details are used for authenticating the user login authentication in order to keep the application secure and safe from misuse. When there is no or limited data connectivity to the user's mobile device, we use the nearby cell tower connection signal to track the user's location. To help the new user travel securely in new locations, we will alert her when she is traveling through an unsafe and dangerous area. Moreover, based on the user's access permissions to the application, once the application is activated, it starts recording voice and live video in the background, and the application also allows the user to add her personal experiences and reviews about the location via the interface.
The AbhayaPradha application includes following modules
Registration/Login Module: The AbhayaPradha app must initially be installed on the mobile device. A new user needs register herself by providing the necessary information such as her email, name, and password. If the user is already registered, she needs enter her login credentials to utilize the system. The user must register the contacts of 3-5 people with whom she wants to share her location in the case of emergency, and the user must save her home or safe address in the application in order to automatically activate the app in background; Location module: When the user enters an unknown location, she receives a safety alert about the location. Through GPS records the user's latitude and longitude records and sends it to registered contacts and a nearby helpline. The cloud database also contains reviews posted by people about specific locations. Nearby Help centers: When a user believes she is in a dangerous situation and activates the location sharing feature, her location is shared with nearby help assistant centers, volunteers, NGOs, etc. This data is up to date and accessed via the cloud database. User/Admin module: The app allows users to submit reviews about the location, which are stored in the application’s database. So, when new users travel through that location the app will send them an alert. When a new review or post about a location is added to the database, analysis is performed. So, when new users travel through that location app will send them an alert. The admin is responsible for keeping the application's information up to date.
AbhayaPradha application is very helpful in emergency situation and also has some unique features from other applications. Uniqueness: In the section on related work, we've mentioned a few of Android applications with functionality that are comparable to those of our application. Yet, our app has some distinguishing features that set it apart from other existing systems. They are as follows: Safe Zone: Although there is another app that tells the victim the safe zone, the operating mechanism isn't the same. To display safe locations, another app must utilize the same app user who will register oneself as a safe place and the victim will discover them. However, if no one is available to label oneself during an emergency, the victim will not have this opportunity. Therefore, in our approach, we prioritized police stations and government assistance centers as safe zones. Admin also keeps the user-based safe zone list up to date in the application. As a result, the victim will feel it simple and more trustworthy to reach the location indicated on the maps. Offline mode: We can utilize our application to try to save users from danger to a certain level even when data is not available. In offline mode, a text message with location latitudes and longitudes details will be sent to the registered contacts using nearby mobile tower information. This identical functionality is implemented in where is my train application, which allows users to track the train's current status when in offline mode for users traveling inside train. In addition, our application can record audio in background during offline mode, which is not available in other apps.
Cloud Storage: Our application uses cloud services to retrieve real-time nearby safe locations depending on the user's location and frequency, as well as to save the user's information, emergency contacts, and voice recognition in the cloud.
This invention has potential for growth in the future. On a daily basis, technology develops new methods and techniques. It is dynamic rather than static. Today's popular abilities will be obsolete soon in a short amount of time. The technology may be enhanced beyond to maintain with the latest developments. As a result, it is not finished. Yet, this will enhance with more additions. To begin, when the application is utilized more actively, a real-time database of reported incidents will be collected and used for analytics to measure the relative safety of various places. In the application, these regions will be displayed on a map in case the user wishes to determine the safety of an area before visiting there. Furthermore, the trigger will be modified. Currently, some hand gestures such as double-pressing the volume down, rotating the phone, and other quick actions within specified times activate the emergency message and calls. Although the occurrence of this hand gestures event by chance is unlikely, it is still possible, thus we planned to adjust the trigger to shaking the phone while holding down either volume button of the phone, or something similar.
