Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to a vehicle. More particularly, the present invention relates to rear fender assembly of the vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] Conventionally, a tail lamp assembly of the vehicle is assembled on a left tail cover, a right tail cover and a center tail cover and supported by rear fender at the bottom. This type of mounting makes the tail lamp assembly difficult. Due to involvement of different parts in tail lamp assembly, gap and flush problem occurs resulting in poor aesthetics, which is undesirable. Furthermore, plurality of cover panels and side covers are required to cover the tail lamp assembly which increases the overall part count of the tail lamp assembly and costs associated thereto.
[003] Furthermore, the conventional tail lamp assembly comprises a tail lamp integrated with turn signal lamps. This construction makes a complicated light structure which requires customized cover panels to cover and secure the tail lamp. Also, a structural and rigid mounting mechanism of the tail lamp assembly is required for preventing bending of the rear fender and cover panels. Moreover, in an integrated configuration of the tail lamp assembly including tail lamp and turn signal lamps, if either of the tail lamp bulb or turn signal lamps are damaged, the entire rear fender assembly has to be replaced. This increases cost and difficulty in serviceability of the tail lamp and turn signal indicators.
[004] Furthermore, in conventional tail lamp assembly, the mounting details as well as wiring harness are visible which negatively affects the aesthetics of the vehicle, which is undesirable, and also visible wiring harness are prone to damage due to environmental conditions such as mud or water acting on the wiring harness, which can reduce the life of the wiring harness.
[005] Furthermore, the conventional tail lamp assembly is susceptible to increased dust, dirt and mud entry which reduces the life span of the tail lamp assembly and, hence undesirable.
[006] Furthermore, tail lamp in conventional tail lamp assembly is generally provided with an incandescent bulb. In case the bulb fuses, all the internal details of the tail lamp are visible from outside which leads to poor aesthetics of the vehicle and is, therefore, undesirable.
[007] Furthermore, the tail lamp assembly and tail lamp mounting cannot be too simple as it will reduce the strength and rigidity and also increase difficulty in servicing of the tail lamp assembly. Also, the tail lamp assembly cannot be too complex as it will increase the part count, and also increase overall assembly time of the tail lamp assembly.
[008] In view of the foregoing, it is desirable to overcome at least the above-mentioned disadvantages of the prior art.

The rear frame extends rearwardly from the main frame. The rear frame extends between a front portion and a rear portion. The front portion is connected to the main frame and rear portion is adapted to receive the rear fender assembly as discussed in Figures 1-9 of the present invention. The term “vehicle” also includes electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles and conventional internal combustion engine vehicles.
[047] Furthermore, a longitudinal axis of the vehicle refers to an axis along a length of the vehicle, a lateral axis of the vehicle refers to an axis along a width of the vehicle and a vertical axis of the vehicle refers to an axis along a height of the vehicle. Furthermore, a longitudinal axis L1-L1of a rear fender 100 refers to an axis along a length of the rear fender 100, a longitudinal axis L2-L2 of a bracket member 300 refers to an axis along a length of the bracket member 300 and a longitudinal axis L3-L3 of a cover member 400 refers to an axis along a length of the cover member 400.

[077] The claimed features/method steps of the present invention as discussed above are not routine, conventional, or well understood in the art, as the claimed features/steps enable the following solutions to the existing problems in conventional technologies. Specifically, the technical problem of lack of rigid mounting mechanism of the tail lamp assembly is being solved by the present invention.
[078] In the present invention, the tail lamp assembly is provided on the rear fender assembly of the vehicle which stabilizes a clearance between the rear fender and the tail lamp assembly.
[079] The present invention addresses the deformation, breakage and falling off of the tail lamp assembly and the rear fender due to vibrations in the running state of the vehicle. The rear fender is reinforced by the bracket member and the cover member.
[080] The present invention addresses sliding dislocation and loosening of tail lamp assembly and the rear fender. The rear fender is reinforced with the presence of the bracket member as well as the cover member. The tail lamp assembly is supported by the bracket member and covered by the cover member.
[081] The present invention addresses loosening and rupturing of rear fender due to long term vibration. The rear fender is reinforced by the bracket member and the cover member.
[082] The present invention solves the technical problem of visible mounting details mounting details and wire routings from the tail lamp assembly as the tail lamp cover is covered by the cover member.
[083] The present invention solves the technical problem of the dust, dirt and mud entry in the housing of the tail lamp assembly. In the present invention, the tail lamp assembly is covered by the cover member and, therefore, prevents dust, dirt and mud entry in the tail lamp assembly. This will increase the life span of the tail lamp assembly and components thereto.
[084] In the present invention, the tail lamp assembly is mounted on the rear fender in a simple manner. The number of parts involved in mounting of tail lamp assembly on the rear fender is less. So, gap and flush between the tail lamp assembly and the rear fender assembly is improved which leads to better aesthetics of the vehicle and also prevent ingress of dirt, mud and water.
[085] The bracket member provides support to the rear fender as well as tail lamp assembly.
[086] In the present invention, the wire routing of the tail lamp assembly and the turn signal indicators is covered by the cover member and, therefore, increases the aesthetics of the vehicle.
[087] While the present invention has been described with respect to certain embodiments, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modification may be made without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the following claims.
