TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention generally relates to the field of automotive, specifically within the realm of a brake assembly and its associated components. In particular, the present invention focuses on a brake caliper cover configuration to be fitted onto a brake caliper using a plurality of mounting provisions and features for effective installation and better functionality.
BACKGROUND
[0002] The brake caliper is a critical component of a disc brake system, functioning to house brake pads that apply pressure to the brake disc to facilitate deceleration or stopping of the vehicle. However, the exposed nature of the caliper makes it particularly vulnerable to the accumulation of contaminants, which may impede its functionality and shorten its lifespan. This is especially problematic in off-road or adverse weather conditions, where the likelihood of debris infiltration is heightened.
[0003] Brake calipers are exposed to environmental elements and undergo thermal changes during braking, necessitating protective measures. Numerous aftermarket brake caliper covers have emerged to safeguard and enhance the appearance of brake calipers. These covers serve the dual purpose of protecting the caliper from external factors while adding aesthetic value to the vehicle.
[0004] Furthermore, the complexity of brake system assembly and maintenance poses additional challenges. Conventional designs often require significant time and expertise to install or replace components, making it difficult for end-users to perform necessary maintenance. There is a growing demand in the automotive industry for solutions that enhance user-friendliness and streamline the assembly process, allowing for quicker and more efficient service
[0005] However, conventional brake caliper covers often face challenges related to secure attachment and stability. Mounting these covers securely onto the brake caliper without compromising functionality or interfering with brake system operation remains a significant consideration. Furthermore, maintaining optimal clearance between the brake caliper and brake pads is crucial for smooth and safe braking performance.
[0006] Existing solutions typically rely on adhesive backing, clips, or bolts for attachment. In an example, a patent application 1497/CHE/2012 discloses a caliper cover for partially covering a brake caliper in a disc brake system for a rear wheel of a saddle- type vehicle. Further, the brake caliper comprises a plurality of recessed portions leading to a disc-brake pad interface, wherein the caliper cover introduces one or more mounting methods on the caliper.
[0007] The above prior art discloses the caliper cover for the rear disc brake system of the saddle-type vehicle that covers the brake caliper, recesses leading to the disc-brake pad interface(s), and the portion of the disc itself in the rear disc brake system.
[0008] Yet, these designs of the caliper cover might pose challenges concerning ease of installation, durability, or potential interference with the brake components. The proposed at least one brake caliper cover's configuration aims to simplify installation while ensuring a stable and secure fit onto the brake caliper. By utilizing a plurality of mounting provisions, this invention seeks to enhance the ease of installation, durability, and overall functionality of brake caliper cover within the automotive industry. This innovative approach aims to provide both protection and aesthetic enhancement for brake calipers, addressing concerns related to attachment methods present in conventional configurations.

OBJECTIVES OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0009] A primary objective of the present invention is to provide a brake assembly for a vehicle that incorporates at least one brake caliper cover that secures at least one brake caliper to protect it from dust, dirt, and debris, thereby enhancing the longevity and reliability of the at least one brake caliper.
[0010] Another objective of the present invention is to facilitate easy installation and removal of the at least one brake caliper cover over the at least one brake caliper through a plurality of mounting provisions.
[0011] Another objective of this invention is to provide the brake caliper cover that includes at least one projection to restrict linear movement of the at least one brake caliper cover, ensuring secure attachment and stability of the at least one brake caliper cover during its installation on the at least one brake caliper.
[0012] Another objective of this invention is to incorporate a plurality of guiding channels on the at least one brake caliper cover that maintains proper alignment and clearance with a plurality of brake pads.
[0013] Another objective of this invention is to reduce the uneven wear of a plurality of brake pads by creating a barrier against external contaminants, thus contributing to consistent braking performance and extending the lifespan of the braking assembly components.
[0014] Another objective of the present invention is to offer a customizable aspect in the at least one brake caliper cover, potentially allowing for different colors, finishes, or configuration variations to suit diverse consumer preferences.
[0015] Another objective of the present invention is to provide the at least one brake caliper cover configuration that exhibits compatibility with various vehicle models and at least one brake caliper sizes.
[0016] Yet another objective of this invention is to provide the brake assembly that is economical and cost-effective, promoting durability and reducing the frequency of maintenance interventions required for the at least one brake caliper.
