Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a compound or a salt thereof which constitutes lipid particles that make it possible to achieve a high nucleic acid encapsulation rate and excellent nucleic acid delivery; and lipid particles and a pharmaceutical composition which use the same and make it possible to achieve a high nucleic acid encapsulation rate and excellent nucleic acid delivery. The present invention provides a compound represented by formula (1) or a salt thereof. In the formula, the symbols have the meanings as defined in the specification of the present application.
