HERO MOTOCORP LIMITED, an Indian Company at: The Grand Plaza, Plot No.2, Nelson Mandela Road, Vasant Kunj- Phase -II, New Delhi, India, 110 070
THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATION PARTICULARLY DESCRIBES THE INVENTION AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS TO BE PERFORMED.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
[001] The invention relates to a vehicle comprising a storage compartment comprising a road assistance kit.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
[002] It would be beneficial to provide a road side assistance kit using which air can be inflated in a tyre of a vehicle and using which a flat tyre of a vehicle can be fixed. Since a vehicle generally comprises limited space, accommodating the road side assistance kit which can be used for inflating the tyre of the vehicle and which can be used for fixing the flat tyre is a technical challenge. Also, the road side assistance kit should be stored in such a manner that it is easily accessible and is not susceptible to stealing.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
[003] This Summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts in a simplified form that are further described below in the Detailed Description. This Summary is not intended to identify key or essential features of the claimed subject matter, nor is it intended to be used as an aid in determining the scope of the claimed subject matter.
[004] Accordingly, the present invention provides a vehicle comprising a storage compartment provided under a seat, the storage compartment comprising a bulge portion projecting in a vehicular height from a bottom wall, the bulge portion further projecting in a vehicle length direction; a first tool kit placed within the storage compartment; a second tool kit placed within the storage compartment; and at least one of the first tool kit and the second tool kit being positioned on top of the bulge portion projecting from the bottom wall.
[005] In an embodiment of the invention, the bulge portion comprises a first lateral wall projecting in a vehicular height direction from the bottom wall, a second lateral wall projecting in a vehicular height direction from the bottom wall, the first lateral wall and the second lateral wall being separated from each other in a vehicle width direction, and a top surface disposed above the first lateral wall and the second lateral wall.
[006] In another embodiment of the invention, the first tool kit is placed above the top surface of the bulge portion and the second tool kit is placed adjacent a front wall of the storage compartment.
[007] In yet another embodiment of the invention, the second tool kit is placed above the top surface of the bulge portion and the first tool kit is placed adjacent a front wall of the storage compartment.
[008] In still another embodiment of the invention, the second tool kit is placed above the top surface of the bulge portion and the first tool kit is placed adjacent a rear wall of the storage compartment.
[009] In a further embodiment of the invention, the bulge portion comprises at least one of a first attachment provision and a second attachment provision, the first attachment provision being different from the second attachment provision.
[0010] In a furthermore embodiment of the invention, the first attachment provision comprises one of a hook part of a hook-and-loop fastener or a loop part of the hook-and-loop fastener.
[0011] In an embodiment of the invention, the second attachment provision comprises a first anchor extending from the first lateral wall of the bulge portion and a second anchor extending from the second lateral wall of the bulge portion.
[0012] In another embodiment of the invention, the front wall of the storage compartment comprises at least one of a third attachment provision and a fourth attachment provision.
[0013] In yet another embodiment of the invention, the rear wall of the storage compartment comprises at least one of a fifth attachment provision and a sixth attachment provision.
[0014] In still another embodiment of the invention, the third attachment provision comprises one of a hook part of a hook-and-loop fastener or a loop part of the hook-and-loop fastener.
[0015] In a further embodiment of the invention, the fourth attachment provision comprises a third anchor and a fourth anchor extending from the front wall of the storage compartment.
[0016] In an embodiment of the invention, the fifth attachment provision comprises one of a hook part of a hook-and-loop fastener or a loop part of the hook-and-loop fastener.
[0017] In another embodiment of the invention, the sixth attachment provision comprises a fifth anchor and a sixth anchor extending from the rear wall of the storage compartment.
[0018] In yet another embodiment of the invention, the first tool kit comprises a T-handle probe, a T-handle reamer, a knife, and at least one puncture strip.
[0019] In still another embodiment of the invention, the second tool kit comprising a tyre inflator.
[0020] One of the advantages of the invention is that there is provided a vehicle having road side assistance kit which can be used for inflating the tyre of the vehicle and which can be used for fixing the flat tyre is a technical challenge.
[0021] Another advantage of the invention is that the road side assistance kit is split into a first tool kit and a second tool kit and the first tool kit is accommodated in a first location while the second tool kit is accommodated in a second location.
[0022] Yet another advantage of the invention, both the first tool kit and the second tool kit can be effectively accommodated in the storage compartment provided under the seat.
[0023] Still another advantage of the invention is that by positioning at least one of the first tool kit and the second tool kit on top of the bulge portion projecting from the bottom wall of the storage compartment, an area within the storage compartment and provided under the seat which is generally not effectively utilized is utilized for accommodating the road side assistance kit.
[0024] Thus, there is no need to provision separate space for accommodating the road side assistance kit.
[0025] Also, since the storage compartment and provided under the seat is not susceptible to un-authorized access, the road side assistance kit is not susceptible to stealing.
[0026] The first tool kit or the second tool kit is securely held on top of the bulge portion projecting from the bottom wall of the storage compartment and hence, the first tool kit or the second tool kit is not subject to vibrations.

[0064] One of the advantages of the invention is that there is provided a vehicle having road side assistance kit which can be used for which can be used for fixing a flat tyre as well as inflating the tyre.
[0065] Another advantage of the invention is that the road side assistance kit is split into a first tool kit and a second tool kit and the first tool kit is accommodated in a first location while the second tool kit is accommodated in a second location.
[0066] Yet another advantage of the invention, both the first tool kit and the second tool kit can be effectively accommodated in the storage compartment provided under the seat.
[0067] Still another advantage of the invention is that by positioning at least one of the first tool kit and the second tool kit on top of the bulge portion projecting from the bottom wall of the storage compartment, an area within the storage compartment and provided under the seat which is generally not effectively utilized is utilized for accommodating the road side assistance kit.
[0068] Thus, there is no need to provision separate space for accommodating the road side assistance kit.
[0069] Also, since the storage compartment and provided under the seat is not susceptible to un-authorized access, the road side assistance kit is not susceptible to stealing.
[0070] The first tool kit or the second tool kit is securely held on top of the bulge portion projecting from the bottom wall of the storage compartment and hence, the first tool kit or the second tool kit is not subject to vibrations. Likewise, the first tool kit or the second tool kit is securely held to the front wall of the storage compartment and hence is not subject to vibrations. In the alternative embodiment, the first tool kit or the second tool kit is securely held to the front wall of the storage compartment and hence is not subject to vibrations.
[0071] The number of additional components that are required to first tool kit or the second tool kit is very less and hence, there is no substantial increase in a weight or a cost of the vehicle.
[0072] There is maintained a substantial ease in accessing the first tool kit as well as the second tool kit.
[0073] While specific language has been used to describe the disclosure, any limitations arising on account of the same are not intended. As would be apparent to a person in the art, various working modifications may be made to the method in order to implement the inventive concept as taught herein.
