Abstract: A method using a continuous catalyst regeneration (CCR) system (100) for removing dust between two interconnected reactors (104 and 105a) comprises a first reactor (104), a second reactor (105a), a lower hopper (124), a lift pot (110), using drip ring bleeder (120) positioned between a first isolation valve (122a) and a second isolation valve (122b). The path between the reactor (104) and the lift pot (110) is isolated by closing the first and second isolation valves (122a and 122b). Flow of a primary lift gas (112) and a secondary lift gas (114) towards the lift pot (110) is isolated. A catalyst transfer line (136) is isolated using a isolation valve (128), and the second isolation valve (122b) is partially opened. A nitrogen supply from the primary lift gas (112) is opened and the second isolation valve (122b) is opened to remove the dust below the lower hopper (124).
