Specification

Description:AN EXTENSION STRUCTURE OF AN APRON SIDE IN A VEHICLE
[0001] The present subject matter, in general, relates to an extension structure, in particular, the present subject matter relates to the extension structure for blocking access to a transmission case when a vehicle gets in one or more of a collision and a crash.
BACKGROUND

[0002] Traditionally, if a vehicle crashes or collides, an impact generated by the same can harm several parts of a vehicle, and the transmission being a part of the vehicle also gets impacted. The transmission may break and get damaged due the impact caused by the vehicle crash. In order to protect the transmission from the damage that happens due to crash and/or collision, the existing vehicles are equipped with a strengthened transmission wherein the transmission is strengthened by either increasing material thickness or/ribs addition or both
[0003] Damage of transmission leads to exposure of the driver or person, touching the transmission, to electrical hazard, which is a safety concern as per regulation and it is a threat to human safety as well.
[0004] However, by increasing the material thickness and adding number of ribs to the transmission, weight of the transmission increases. The increase in weight ultimately leads to a reduction in efficiency.
[0005] Fig. 1 illustrates a line diagram 100 depicting a transmission having a number of ribs, in accordance with an existing prior art. The number of ribs may be configured to strengthen the transmission. However, the number of ribs increases weight and reduces efficiency of the transmission.
[0006] Thus, there is a need for a solution to overcome the drawbacks.
OBJECTS OF THE DISCLOSURE
