Abstract: Examples of a dual voltage power distribution system (100) are 5 described. The system (100) includes a first switching device (110) to supply power from a first power source (102) to a first set of vehicle subsystems (106). Further, the system (100) includes a second switching device (112) to supply power from a second power source (104) to a second set of vehicle subsystems (108). The second power source (104) provides a different voltage than the first 10 power source (102). Further, the system includes a first protection circuit (114) and a second protection circuit (116) to monitor voltage and current in vehicle subsystems. If a fault condition is detected, the first protection circuit stops current flow from the first power source. If an undesirable condition is detected, the second protection circuit (116) stops current flow from the second power 15 source (104).
