Abstract: ABSTRACT To prevent a change in a positional relationship between a waxing device and a detection device, even if a holding member that holds a detection device is made of a resin material, a yarn winding apparatus 100 includes a yarn clearer 35, a the waxing device 36, a holding member 33, and a frame member 7. The yarn clearer 35 detects a state of yarn 10 running between a yarn feeding unit 1 and a package 20. The waxing device 36 applies wax W to the yarn 10. The holding member 33 is made of a resin material and holds the yarn clearer 35. The holding member 33 and the waxing device 36 are fixed to the frame member 7. One of the holding member 33 and the waxing device 36 is provided with an engaging part 33c, while the other is provided with an engaged part 36f, and the holding member 33 and the waxing device 36 are linked to each other by engagement between the engaging part 33c and the engaged part 36f.
