Battery Pack

Abstract: The present invention relates to a battery pack capable of rapidly extinguishing a fire. Specifically, the battery pack of the present invention is a battery pack for accommodating battery modules and includes a pack case comprising a base plate comprising a plurality of module areas in which battery modules are placed, sidewalls that vertically join the base plate along the edges thereof so as to surround the module areas, and partition walls coupled to the sidewalls so as to partition the base plate and form the plurality of module areas, wherein the sidewalls each comprise: gas-filled parts in which a high-pressure extinguishing gas is filled and which correspond to the module areas; outlets formed to enable communication between the gas-filled parts and the module areas; and sealing plates attached to respective outlets so that the extinguishing gas does not leak therefrom, each sealing plate being removably attached to each outlet so that the sealing plate can be removed therefrom depending on the temperature of the corresponding module area.
