Abstract: An apparatus for diagnosing a battery cell, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a current measurement unit configured to measure a current of a battery cell; a voltage sensing unit configured to sense a cell voltage of the battery cell; and a first control unit configured to transmit, to an external device, first information of the battery cell, comprising data acquired from the current measurement unit and the voltage sensing unit, and receive, from the external device, second information comprising diagnostic information of the battery cell, acquired on the basis of the first information, and diagnose an abnormal state of the battery cell on the basis of the first information and the second information.
