Abstract: This steel plate has a prescribed chemical composition, the microstructure thereof comprising, by area ratio, 5.0% or less ferrite and a total of greater than 90.0% martensite and tempered martensite, with the remainder being one or more of bainite, perlite, and residual austenite, and when a boundary for which the orientation difference between adjacent martensite and tempered martensite is 15 degrees or greater is defined as the prior-austenite grain boundary, the bonding strength energy EGB, as determined by the concentration of each alloy element on the prior-austenite grain boundary, is 0.50 or greater, and the tensile strength is 1500 MPa or greater.
