Cylindrical Battery, And Battery Pack And Vehicle Comprising Same

Abstract: A cylindrical battery according to the present invention comprises an electrode assembly in which a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween are wound. The first electrode and the second electrode include, in the winding direction, a first uncoated part and a second uncoated part, respectively. The first uncoated part and/or the second uncoated part is itself defined as an electrode tab, and includes a core side uncoated part, an outer circumferential side uncoated part, and an intermediate uncoated part interposed between the core side uncoated part and the outer circumferential side uncoated part. The core side uncoated part and/or the outer circumferential side uncoated part is lower in height the winding axis direction than the intermediate uncoated part. The cylindrical battery comprises: a battery housing for accommodating the electrode assembly; a first current collecting plate coupled to the first uncoated part; a cap plate for covering an opening; a spacer disposed between the cap plate and the electrode assembly so as to seal the battery housing; and an external terminal electrically connected to the second uncoated part.
