Welding Jig

Abstract: The present invention relates to a welding jig. During the welding of a current collecting plate, which is connected to an electrode assembly inside a can body of a secondary battery, and a beading part, which is recessed inward from the can body, the welding jig can prevent spatter, which is foreign substances generated during welding, from entering the secondary battery. Also, the welding jig can increase the pressing force between objects being welded, such as the current collecting plate and the beading part, and thereby increase the completeness and improve the quality of the weld. The welding jig according to the present invention is used in a welding process when manufacturing the secondary battery, and comprises: a body part; and a protrusion part which extends downward from the lower surface of the body part, has a size corresponding to an upper opening of the secondary battery, and is inserted into the upper opening of the secondary battery during the welding process. Welding holes, through which a laser beam for performing welding passes, are formed in a circumferential region of the protrusion part and a region of the body part corresponding to the circumferential region of the protrusion part.
