Tab Forming Device For Jelly Roll Type Electrode Assembly, And Forming Method Using Same

Abstract: The present invention relates to a forming device for bending, in a radial direction, an electrode tab portion exposed to an axial end of a jelly-roll type electrode assembly, and to a forming method therefor. The forming device may comprise a forming jig for bending the electrode tab, and a flattening jig for further flattening the bent electrode tab. The forming jig comprises a preforming circumferential surface and a bending guide surface. The preforming circumferential surface has a shape of which the inner diameter increases from the proximal end toward the distal end extending in a pressing direction. The bending guide surface is connected to the proximal end of the preforming circumferential surface and extends radially inward.
