Abstract: This electric work vehicle comprises: a battery (4); an inverter (14) that converts the output of the battery (4) to AC power; a motor (M) that is driven by the converted AC power; a traveling device (42) that is driven by the motor (M); a control unit (44) that drives the inverter (14) in accordance with rotational speed information indicating the rotational speed of the motor (M) and a required rotational speed required to the motor (M) and thereby controls the current flowing through the motor (M); a DC/DC converter (71) that converts the output voltage of the battery (4) to a voltage that can be applied to the control unit (44); and a current limiting unit (73) that limits the current flowing through the motor (M) when the temperature of the inverter (14) is higher than a preset temperature. When at least either one of the temperature of the inverter (14), the temperature of the motor (M), and the temperature of the DC/DC converter (71) is higher than the preset temperature, the control unit (44) limits the current flowing through the motor (M).
