Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrolyte composition for a lithium secondary battery. The electrolyte composition comprises an electrolyte represented by chemical formula 1 and has an oxidation potential window at 4.5V or higher, and thus oxidative degradation of the electrolyte composition can be suppressed when a battery is charged/discharged under high voltage conditions.
