Cylindrical Secondary Battery Comprising Improved Current Collector Plate, And Battery Pack And Vehicle Including Same

Abstract: A cylindrical secondary battery according to the present invention corresponds to a jelly-roll type electrode assembly having a structure in which a positive electrode plate and negative electrode plate having a sheet shape and a separator interposed therebetween are wound in one direction, and comprises: an electrode assembly comprising the positive electrode plate including a positive electrode non-coated portion exposed to the outside of the separator at an end portion of a long surface thereof and the negative electrode plate including a negative electrode non-coated portion exposed to the outside of the separator at an end portion of a long surface thereof; a positive electrode current collecting plate coupled by the positive electrode non-coated portion and a positive electrode welding portion; and a negative electrode current collecting plate coupled by the negative electrode non-coated portion and a negative electrode welding portion, wherein a coupling area (S1) of the positive electrode non-coated portion and the positive electrode current collecting plate is smaller than a coupling area (S2) of the negative electrode non-coated portion and the negative electrode current collecting plate. According to the present invention, by improving the positive electrode current collecting plate and the negative electrode current collecting plate, the kinetic balance between the positive electrode and the negative electrode can be secured, the energy density can be improved, and the coupling force between components can be strengthened.
