Abstract: This grain-oriented electrical steel sheet has, along a steel sheet surface, a rolling direction and a sheet width direction orthogonal to the rolling direction, wherein: the rolling direction coincides with a direction of easy magnetization of the grain-oriented electrical steel sheet; the steel sheet surface has point-series grooves that extend in a point-series direction intersecting the sheet width direction; the point-series grooves are configured by arranging, side by side in a straight line, a plurality of substantially elliptical point-shaped grooves or a plurality of point group grooves obtained by forming a plurality of holes continuously in a straight line; and a long axis of the point-shaped grooves or the point group grooves intersects the point-series direction.
