Appearance Inspection System And Method

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for inspecting the appearance of a secondary battery, and can precisely inspect the entire appearance of the secondary battery, minimize overkill, and minimizes shaking during transport of the secondary battery to thus increase stability. In addition, the present invention relates to an appearance inspection system and method that can improve the appearance inspection accuracy of a secondary battery and minimize appearance defects. The appearance inspection system for inspecting the appearance of a secondary battery according to the present invention comprises: a transport device that transports a secondary battery according to an inspection position; a top-and-bottom inspection device disposed at a first inspection position for inspecting the top and bottom of the secondary battery; a side inspection device disposed at a second inspection position for inspecting the sides of the secondary battery and the presence or absence of swelling; and a rotation device disposed at the second inspection position for rotating the secondary battery, wherein the side inspection device inspects the sides of the secondary cell and the presence or absence of swelling while the secondary cell lies flat on the transport device.
