Battery Module With Improved Safety

Abstract: Disclosed are a battery module and the like that have an improved structure so as to be safer when a thermal event occurs inside the battery module. The battery module according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: a cell assembly having a plurality of battery cells electrically connected to one another via an electrode lead; a module case for storing the cell assembly in an internal space; and a cover member attached to a lateral portion of the cell assembly, having the electrode lead protruding therefrom, in the internal space of the module case.
