Measurement Device And System For Breathing Assistance Apparatus And/Or Performing Diagnostics

Abstract: A measurement device for use with a breathing assistance apparatus to measure lung performance. The device has a main body that is releasably connectable to a gases outlet or a breathing conduit of the breathing assistance apparatus. The main body conveys a flow of gases from the gases outlet to a user. The main conduit body has a connector end that is connectable to the gases outlet of the breathing assistance apparatus to receive the flow of gases, and a mouthpiece end to provide fluid communication to the user's airway. A main lumen or lumens extend between the connector end and mouthpiece end for conveying the flow of gases. One or more exhaust openings provided on the main body between its ends and which are in fluid communication with the main lumen or lumens.
