Abstract: Provided is a hot stamped compact that has a prescribed chemical composition, and has a metal structure containing at least 90 vol% martensite, wherein the average grain diameter of the prior austenite grains is 3.0 µm or less, the standard deviation in the grain diameter distribution of the prior austenite grains is 1.5 µm or less, and the difference between the minimum and maximum values of the Vickers hardness distribution in the plate thickness direction is 35% or less of the average value of the Vickers hardness distribution.
