Pouch Type Battery Case And Lithium Secondary Battery Comprising Same

Abstract: The present invention relates to a high-rigidity battery case with less cracking during molding and with less damage due to external impact. The battery case of the present invention comprises: a pouch film stack structure including a gas barrier layer, a substrate layer disposed on one surface of the gas barrier layer, and a sealant layer disposed on the other surface of the gas barrier layer; at least one cup portion having a recessed shape to accommodate an electrode assembly; and a terrace located on at least a portion of the circumference of the cup portion, wherein the cup portion includes a bottom surface and a plurality of circumferential surfaces surrounding the bottom surface, and a thickness of the gas barrier layer is greater than 30 µm at a corner where the bottom surface and a pair of adjacent circumferential surfaces contact each other.
