Abstract: A battery pack according to the present invention may comprise: multiple cell units stacked in one direction, each cell unit comprising a cell stack, which comprises one or at least two stacked battery cells, and a cell cover capable of accommodating the cell stack; and a pack case comprising a pack tray, on which the multiple cell units are seated, and a pack cover, which covers the multiple cell units and is coupled to the pack tray, wherein: the cell cover has a top opening so as not to cover the top surface of the cell stack; the pack cover has a fire extinguishing material inlet for introducing fire extinguishing material into the cell cover through the top opening of the cell cover; and at least a portion of the fire extinguishing material inlet is thermally melted so that the fire extinguishing material is introduced into the cell cover.
