Sliding Nozzle Apparatus

Abstract: The present invention provides a sliding nozzle apparatus in which components constituting the sliding nozzle apparatus are less likely to get damaged even in a case where a surface pressure is applied while no refractory plate is mounted thereon. The sliding nozzle apparatus according to the present invention comprises a fixed metal frame 1 and a slide metal frame 2 which is slidably provided to the fixed metal frame 1. The slide metal frame 2 is capable of moving to: a first position where, in a state where refractory plates are respectively mounted in a plate accommodation part 11 of the fixed metal frame 1 and a plate accommodation part of the slide metal frame, a surface pressure can be applied between the respective refractory plates; and a second position where, in a state where no refractory plates are mounted to the plate accommodation part 11 of the fixed metal frame 1 or the plate accommodation part of the slide metal frame 2, a surface pressure can be applied between the fixed metal frame 1 and the slide metal frame 2.
