Abstract: This hot-rolled steel sheet has a desired chemical composition and a metal structure, wherein: the average spherical equivalent radius of alloy carbide in ferrite is 0.5-5.0 nm (exclusive of 5.0); the average number density is at least 3.5 × 1016 /cm3; the E value indicating the periodicity of the metal structure is at least 10.7; the I value indicating the uniformity of the metal structure is at least 1.020; the standard deviation of the Mn concentration is at most 0.60 mass%; and the tensile strength is at least 980 MPa.
