Abstract: The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a vehicle test device, such as a chassis dynamometer, which eliminates the need for advance preparation concerning the tire turning angle and enables an accurate angular displacement amount recognition. Displacement sensors (7L, 7R) according to the present disclosure detect tire turning angles of tires (6L, 6R) using a distance measurement region (90) in the tires (6L, 6R) as detection targets, and acquire angle measurement information (S7L, S7R). A controller (15) receives the angle measurement information (S7L, S7R) from the displacement sensors (7L, 7R), obtains a steering angle that matches the tire turning angles indicated by the angle measurement information (S7L, S7R), and outputs, to a motor drive device (19), steering angle instruction information (SG) that instructs the obtained steering angle. The motor drive device (19) drives a turning motor (42) of roller turning mechanisms (3L, 3R) in accordance with the steering angle instruction information (SG).
