Electrode And Electrochemical Device Comprising Same

Abstract: An electrode according to the present invention relates to an electrode having a multilayer structure in which a plurality of unit electrode active material layers are stacked. The electrode is formed by having granules, containing electrode materials, integrated into each of the unit electrode active material layers, such that electrode active materials do not become mixed near the interface of unit electrode active material layers even if different electrode active materials are used in respective unit electrode active material layers, and thus interference of electrochemical properties between different types of electrode active materials is small. In addition, the electrode active material layers have higher porosity in the unit electrode active material layer disposed closer to the surface of the electrode compared to the unit layer disposed closer to a current collector. As a result, the electrode has improved electrolyte wettability and ionic conductivity.
