Abstract: Disclosed are a motor control device capable of driving an AC motor in a stable manner even under the influence of dead time, and an electric vehicle equipped with an AC motor controlled by said motor control device. This motor control device controls an electric power converter (2) to which an AC motor (1) is connected, the motor control device comprising: a voltage vector calculation unit (18) for generating a voltage command for the electric power converter such that the AC amount of the AC motor matches a command value; and a damping ratio control unit (26) for calculating, on the basis of oscillation components of dq-axis components of the AC amount, an oscillation component of a d-axis component or an oscillation component of a q-axis component, and generating, on the basis of the calculated oscillation component of the d-axis component or the oscillation component of the q-axis component, a correction amount for correcting the voltage command.
