Steel Plant With Direct Cooling Water Treatment Circuit And Related Process

Abstract: The invention concerns a steel plant for the production of long or flat products with a treatment circuit of water deriving from direct cooling and a relative process that envisage that the cooling waters coming from first machinery (10, 12; 86, 88; 134, 136, 138; 224, 226, 228) that produce cooling waters less loaded with scale (with a low content of suspended solids), as quenching units (138), directly feed second machinery (36, 38, 42; 90, 92; 166, 168; 186, 188, 190) producing cooling waters rich in scale, such as rolling mills (92; 36, 38, 166, 168), preferably by first passing through at least one collecting tank (13; 122, 164; 230) to then be treated in a succession of water treatment devices such as scale pits (44; 94; 194), clarifiers (76; 102; 200), filters (50; 210, 211 ) and cooling towers (52; 112; 212, 213 ) to feed the first machinery again.
