Cash Handling Device

Abstract: In order to make it possible to handle a central-bank digital currency, a cash handling device according to the present invention is configured to be provided with: a cash deposit unit for depositing cash; a cash discrimination unit that discriminates the kind and authenticity of the cash; a cash storage unit that stores the cash; a digital-cash deposit unit for depositing digital cash, which is a central-bank digital currency with which one item of data is issued per prescribed unit sum; and a digital-cash storage unit for saving the digital cash. The cash handling device is configured such that: at the time of deposit handling, a deposit of at least one of cash and digital cash is accepted; at the time of cash deposit handling, cash deposited via the cash deposit unit is discriminated in the cash discrimination unit and is stored in the cash storage unit; and at the time of digital-cash deposit handling, data for digital cash input via the digital-cash deposit unit is saved in the digital-cash storage unit.
