Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for recycling a positive electrode active material, characterized by comprising the steps of: (a) recovering the positive electrode active material by heat-treating a waste positive electrode including a current collector and a positive electrode active material layer coated thereon at 300°C to 650°C under an air or oxygen atmosphere; (b) mixing the recovered positive electrode active material with a cleaning solution; (c) filtering the positive electrode active material mixed with the cleaning solution; and (d) adding a lithium precursor to the filtered positive electrode active material and annealing same in air at 400°C to 1000°C, wherein the positive electrode active material filtered in step (c) has a moisture content of 5% to 10.5% by weight.
