Pouch Type Battery Cell And Battery Module Comprising Same

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pouch-type battery cell and a battery module comprising same and, particularly, to a pouch-type battery cell and a battery module comprising same, the pouch-type battery cell comprising: a pouch case having an accommodating space; an electrode assembly which is accommodated in the pouch case, includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator, and has a pair of electrode tabs on one side or the respective sides thereof; and a pair of electrode leads connected to the pair of electrode tabs and protruding to the outside of the pouch case, wherein a sealing part comprises a wing part positioned along the full length direction of the pouch case, terrace parts positioned along the full width direction of the pouch case, and reinforcing parts extending outward from the terrace parts and having a predetermined shape and area for suppressing or delaying gas venting, wherein the width of the wing part is greater than the width of the terrace parts.
