Apparatus And Method For Diagnosing Battery

Abstract: An apparatus for diagnosing a battery according to an embodiment of the present invention is an apparatus for diagnosing a status of a plurality of battery cells included in a battery module, the apparatus comprising: a measuring part configured to measure the voltage of the battery module and each of the plurality of battery cells; and a control part configured to determine the voltage of each of the plurality of battery cells when the voltage of the battery module reaches a preset cut-off voltage, determine a voltage increase/decrease pattern for each of the plurality of battery cells on the basis of the determined plurality of voltages and previously stored voltage data, and diagnose the status of each of the plurality of battery cells according to the determined voltage increase/decrease pattern.
