Abstract: A battery management device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a communication unit configured to receive battery information about multiple batteries; a priority setting unit configured to determine an index value for a preset performance index for the multiple batteries on the basis of the battery information, and set a priority for the multiple batteries on the basis of the determined index value; and a battery determination unit configured to, on the basis of the battery information and the priority, determine a target battery from among the multiple batteries, and provide information about the determined target battery.
