Abstract: This plated steel sheet comprises a steel sheet and a plating layer provided on the surface of the steel sheet. The chemical composition of the plating layer contains, by mass, 10.0 to 25.0% of Al, 3.0 to 10.0% of Mg, 0.01 to 2.0% of Fe, and over 0 to 2.0%, with the remainder made up by Zn and impurities. The number density of Mg2Si phases that have a long diameter of 2 µm or above and that are exposed on the surface of the plating layer is 3 to 150 per 10000 µm2 area.
