Method For Preparing Azine Using Cascade Reactors

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for continuously preparing azine, which comprises a step of reacting ammonia, hydrogen peroxide and a ketone of formula R1R2CO, the groups R1 and R2 denoting, independently of each other, a methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, pentyl, hexyl, heptyl and octyl group, in the presence of an aqueous solution comprising at least one activator to form an azine, the reaction being carried out in at least two reactors arranged in cascade, the agitation of the first reactor being less than the agitation of the or each of the following reactors, the reactants being injected into the first reactor, the aqueous solution comprising at least one activator and comprising solubilised ammonia in a proportion of between 50% and 100% relative to the saturation of the ammonia in pure water at the temperature of the aqueous solution.
